Dr Julien Ugon

Julien Ugon is a research fellow in applied optimisation in the school of Information Technology and Engineering at the University of Ballarat.

Dr Ugon obtained his PhD in 2005 at the University of Ballarat on the application of optimisation to data mining. His main research interests are in the area of nonsmooth, nonconvex optimisation, in particular in the development of algorithms. His other research interests are the application of optimisation algorithms. He has worked on applications in workload modelling, water distribution networks, data mining, sleep analysis and hospital management optimisation.
