Triple Bottom Line Training

ISA’s sustainability reporting software tool was developed in close consultation with business and industry, government and non-government organisations as part of a two year Sustainability Reporting Project. The project delivered a comprehensive sustainability reporting tool that can be tailored to organisations' needs. The tool is supported by two and three day training programs or tailor made courses to meet specific demands.

The two and three day courses, which include the ecological and carbon footprint indicators, are designed to maximise outcomes though a combination of work-based learning, learning with a colleague, learning over time, and the use of real data for your organisation.

Tailored, individual training for your organisation can also be developed on request.

Triple Bottom Line: theory into practice

Two day learning program that will provide you with the tools and the know-how to construct your TBL and Footprint accounts.

2-day TBL & Carbon & Ecological Footprint Course (Sydney): Sydney 12th & 26th September 2008, Time: 9.30am – 4.30pm

Who should attend: consultants, accountants, auditors and sustainability managers working with or in local government, business, industry, government and non-government organisations that want to understand what being carbon neutral will mean for them. Anyone who rejects greenwash and requires a full upstream TBL report that reveals all and shows where the risks and opportunities are hidden. Anyone who wants to understand the detail hidden in their ecological or carbon footprint and what it means for action.

What do we cover:
Day 1: what's "carbon neutral" and how do we know what's to be neutralized. What's a carbon/ecological footprint and how does it fit into the TBL. Sharing responsibility along the supply chain. TBL case studies using the BL3 software. Between workshop activity: data collection.
Day 2: Hands-on the BL3 software - data input, software functionality; what the output means; writing a report using the output.

What do you get: Walk away with a working model of a TBL or Carbon or Ecological Footprint project on your own computer - development of a TBL or Footprint project; license to use the full registered BL3 software for one project for one month, downloaded onto your laptop; unlimited trial version of software; resources & support materials.

NOTE: the course provides one month free access to the software. For continued use after this time the software will have to be purchased.
